Chalinochromis brichardi are suitable fish for a Tanganyikan community display. This species is often found with Juliodochromis, Telmatochromis, Lamprologus, Petrochromis and Tropheus species. While they are generally peaceful, they can become aggressive at times. This species requires a large aquarium with extensive rockwork and lots of caves. Some brisk water movement may also be appreciated. C. brichardi are omnivorous and are not finickey eaters. They should readily accept most prepared foods, daphnia, brine shrimp, etc. Be sure to include a good portion of algae-based food in their diet. |
