All Corydoras, including the Agassiz Cory, are peaceful, undemanding fish and are highly recommended for beginners and community tanks. Corydoras agassizi is omnivorous, feeding on the waste food on the bottom of the tank. This makes these little fish great allies in combating tank pollution. Corydoras agassizi have to be wild-caught (they have not yet been successfully bred commercially) and so are more expensive than other Corydoras. The Corydoras are terrific aquarium fish because they come in many different variations and are small, peacful, and can be kept in schools. |
